Ever so slightly excited to share this one with you dear followers….
this is pretty darn special indeed.
I can count on one hand the people that REALLY matter in my life, and Eloise here is one of them. The most generous, kind, loving and creative friend a girl could wish for. Carly will be well looked after I can assure you! Eloise is also pretty skilled at whipping up cakes (as long as they’re covered in glitter of course)
We flew off to Bordeaux to the astonishingly mesmerising Chateaux Destinee, met by owner Linda and her four legged USP on four legs – Cooper. You’ll see him in a few frames, he almost stole the show, but not quite.
Guests arrived to Champagne, cake and a superb tour and briefing about our stay with lovely Linda. A few popped off rather quickly with towels in hands to the temptingly cool pool in the grounds, giggling as they went. As evening drew closer the light teased me with a taster of what would follow on the Wedding Day, we were bathed in glorious golden light and seriously sexy shadows. Everything just felt right and I knew we were gonna smash the hell out of this Wedding!
Guests gathered for breakfast after a relaxed morning, more dips in the pool and others choosing to exploring the surrounding area. Did I mention we were surrounded by vast apple orchards, the Dordogne and Darcy Bussell has a ‘small’ pad overlooking the Chateaux too? The setting was darn fine.
The intimate and sincere ceremony overlooked the Chatueax, and the girls locked eyes on each other with military precision and timing thanks to the super organised (and rather wonderful) Linda. Guests were treated to some tasty Wedding Food, Bridesmaid’s soaked swollen, hot feet in buckets of ice under the table and the wine flowed like the river running alongside us.
The girls also chose the BEST Wedding Cake I’ve ever shovelled in my mouth, the croque en bouche from the local bakery will be one of my favourite memories, the spun caramel looking like amber as I held it up to the sunlight. As for inflatable unicorns, well, that’s our secret.
